About The Medium of Music

“My love is music…I will marry melody” – Cold (Bleed)

The idea of this blog is to talk about music that we feel is either lacking the attention it deserves or is just too great or important to deny mentioning. Each of us has our own music mediums, our personal favorites, styles, bands, whatever. However, the common thread between us is a complete fulfillment given by music. We feel music isn’t just background noise or entertainment, but something more, something bigger.

“Music is the universal language of mankind” – Henry Wadsworth (19th Century Poet)

Throughout history things have changed, but music from the days of Frank Sinatra, to Miles Davis, to Elvis, The Beatles, The Jackson 5, Pink Floyd, through today has stood the test, given people across the globe common ground…breaking down walls of a political and religious nature.

“Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid” – Frank Zappa

Whether in the car, in the livingroom, the patio, walking to class, sitting in a dark room, or just at the computer, music fills our lives, and makes moments memorable. Think of all the couples who have “their song”. Think of a great memory of yours and chances are music was playing and played a part in that memory. Think of a song, any song, and I’m sure with it will appear mental images of friends, family, adventures.
